MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER

At long last the building project is getting underway and we should move into our new accommodation, within an extended and refurbished Brookfield Park School, around September 2009.

The staff at both schools have been meeting together and will have working groups of staff looking at how we can work together to extend the range of opportunities both socially and educationally for all our pupils. The most important aspect of this exciting and long awaited scheme is that it is the people in both schools who will make it work. The new accommodation will be great but if, we, that is Staff, Pupils, Parents and Governors supply the energy we will produce something to show the rest of the educational world. Our website should have regular building and other development updates for those who are interested in our progress.

While this is progressing our pupils will remain the focus of our work and we will be endeavouring to maintain and develop our service to them.

Our Home/School Liaison Officer, Jayne Wood, continues to develop our ‘Parental Services’ and in addition to the meetings and visits she has already set up we would be delighted for suggestions and ideas to make this service even more useful.

Finally, can I close by thanking all those people who have helped and supported us and those who will help us in the next 12 months to deliver an excellent service to all our pupils.
